Botox
The most popular cosmetic procedure in North America.
Are you looking for a cosmetic procedure that will make you look 5-10
years younger without surgery, in a period of 5-7 days. A safe
procedure with very few potential side effects?
BOTOX injections offer dramatic improvments in upper forehead, crows
feet and eyebrow frown lines. These lines typically result from
frowning or squinting. Minute amounts of BOTOX are injected in the
muscle of facial expression that produce these lines. The muscles are
weakened and the results are amazing.
The effects of treatment wear off in 3-5 months.
Side effects and complications are minimal, they include: mild swelling
and bruising and the possibility of a slight eyelid droop that lasts
for a few weeks. Over 10 years of clinical experience involving
thousands of patients are a testimony to the potential benefits of this
treatment.

off over 3 to 4 months. Most patients require a second or third session
after which time the muscle loss is more permanent.
Side effects and
complications have been minimal. Occasional slight swelling and/or
bruising may occur.
The results of BOTOX
in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures (i.e.; laser resurfacing

Hyperhidrosis
Hyperhidrosis
or excessive sweating is a condition prevalent in 2-3% of the adult
population. The areas most commonly affected include the axilla
(armpit) the palms and the soles of the feet.
Although sweat glands are critical for regulating body temperature
(thermoregulation), the areas affected by hyperhidrosis do not play a
significant role in in body temperature contol. Sweating is often
triggered by emotion just as easily as heat.
The impact of Hyperhidrosis
on quality
of life can be profound. Excess sweating in the axilla can damage
expensive clothing, some individuals need to change their tops many
times a day. Hyperhidrosis of the hands affects grip control, and
can prevent career choices. Hyperhidrosis of the feet can trigger
numerous dermatological problems.
Common treatments include:
Topical treatments
include antiperspirants containing aluminum salts in various
concentrations and using various delivery vehicles (alcohol, salicylate
gels)
Systemic treatments
use
oral medication to control Hyperhidrosis. The most common medications
are anticholinergics which are no longer recommended for this
condition. Frequent side effects include dry mouth, blurred vision, and
occasionally delirum.
Botox Well known
for
it's
use in the cosmetic industry. Botox is a neuromuscular blocking agent
that prevents excessive nerve stimulation of sweat glands. Botox has a
very high saftey profile. Systemic side effects are very rare. Symptom
relief can last 6-8 months and in some cases 14 months.
In many cases 3rd party insurance will cover the cost of the
medication. The treatment fee ($250.00) is not covered and is paid by
the patient.
To simplify the process Allergan has introduced the Botox Acess Program to help patients
through their insurance coverage.
